Title: Perfectly Imperfect Author: Harper Sloan Reviewer: Rea Loftis Sometimes you read a book for the fluff or an escape Sometimes it's for sex or the cover or just to improve your mood. And then sometimes it's to fill your soul, Perfectly Imperfect is the latter. I can always tell when a book is personal for the writer, in a way, i guess every book is. But you know what i mean, when you can feel and see that an author bled for a book. If you were holding her first draft in your hand, that you might see his/her tear marks on the page. Harper Sloan definitely bled for this one. Perfectly Imperfect tells the story of a woman's journey from a beaten down shell to a survivor and self-lover. Is that a phrase? If not, it should be! We all spend an exorbitant amount of time thinking about how we look. Imagine if every time you looked in the mirror, you cringed or turned away. Many people go through life feeling compared to models and actresses. Willow is surrounded by these people in her daily life and because of her self image issues, does not believe that super hot leading man Kane could really be interested in her. Well he is! And with good reason, Kane sees beneath the shell of a struggling woman. He sees Willow's true self and loves the skin she's in! Curves, imperfections and all! Nobody is perfect, and always remember that we each go through our own struggles in life! If we could all love and support like Kane and Willow's two bffs, the world would be a better place! Harper Sloan, you are beautiful! And your beautiful message rings loud, proud and true in Perfectly Imperfect! That's why I'm giving it 4 Tim Tam flavored cupcakes! About the Author
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks.
